No Bones About It-Banners Work Great as Bulletin Boards

Just in time for October, I was able to get up this fun dancing skeleton bulletin board. Unlike the fabric design, this vinyl banner came rolled and shipped in a neat triangular canister that can be used for storing it. The vinyl is less forgiving to being folded or creased and it was substantially heavier than the fabric. The colors, were vibrant and it can easily be wiped down with a damp cloth if it gets dusty. One advantage the banner had over the fabric was the fact that the edges are finished so you don't need to add a border if you are in a hurry. I added the purple border just to make it POP a bit more.  I personally like the texture of the fabric more than the vinyl, but both are very durable and should hold their vibrant colors for years to come. For an additional charge, grommets can be added to the banner so that it can be hung in places where there are no bulletin boards. I've been designing some educational and motivational bulletin boards to display in the halls of the youth detention facility where I teach. There are 10 boards on the school hallway and I pretty much take care of all of them which I enjoy, but it is a challenge to keep them fresh and relevant for our students who range from 6th to 12th grade. Recently I had the idea of putting my designs on fabric or banners. This can be much more expensive than traditional methods, but I had been selling some designs for pet products on Zazzle for a while and had a little money from royalties in my account, so my costs were minimal for my first two board designs.
